Primary Day in PA

Well tomorrow is the big day for us folks in Pennsylvania, because it's finally the time of the year where we can go and have or say as to who we want to see in the White House. I'll be honest here I cannot wait for it all to be over, sure it's nice having Senator's Clinton and Obama here, drumming up support for our votes, but the thing I am really tired of is the all the advertisement that has been going on, and most of it's been negative to. Really now people, can't we all try to get along I mean it's been a long 15 months and at first I thought they were going to be nice and not attack each other personally, yeah I was wrong, after the Pastor thing and the story about Bosnia got out that's all we heard about. Tomorrow if you can go out and vote for the candidate that you think will make the best president, and not just the one who makes the most personal attacks.

So....

So it's been a while since I updated and I thought I would post a random no meaning kinda blog this time. Right now I'm sitting in my Study Hall and I'll admit I am rather bored, I've been here since 11:44am and the class is almost over, but I'll admit that there is only so many times that you can check the same sites before they get really boring. School is almost over which is awesome, it's under 50 days for Seniors now and I cannot wait till graduation on June 12th. Anyways off the school topic I added a few new blogs to the side-bar and you should check them out because there all really awesome. (And I am telling you to visit them to) Yeah so not much else to report, until next time drop me a comment and I'll be sure to respond.

Carrie Underwood in Bethlehem, PA (3-18-08)

*If you would like to see more photos please let me and I'll be more than happy to post them, these are just some of the many I took, (I have over 400 of Carrie alone) but I am posting these ones so you can get an idea of what she looked like during each of her songs.*

So this was the first time I had seen the Carnival Ride Tour [3rd time seeing Carrie overall and 1st time seeing Josh] and lemme tell ya it did not disappoint, Carrie was spot on as always and did a truly amazing job.

Here's the lowdown:

Josh:

As soon as the lights went out I was so ready for the show to start, Josh came on stage and wow he's got a really good voice, not to mention that he is good looking as well. He was really into the crowd and talkative and nice overall. He sang a few songs from the new CD as well as a few from Your Man and his first CD as well. I only knew a few but he got us singing and up on our feet and everything. He talked about being excited to be back in Pennsylvania especially during March Madness and how he was excited about being on the road with Carrie and joked and said "If only she could sing, then maybe she'd have something there, sell a few more records" he was very interesting to listen to, but overall I really did enjoy him.

Intermission could not have been longer I was dying to see Carrie already. So when that 5 minuet countdown came on I was so excited I was shaking.

Carrie:
*Photo above taken from my 2nd show in Atlantic City, NJ

*Lemme say that I didn't have much trouble with security (Some people did) although during ITYS I had a guard come up to me and say "Take a picture and find your seat" so I took a few more than sat and then at the very end I was at the catwalk and then made my way up to the barricade, and was dancing and singing and I thought I was gonna be asked to sit down but the one Staff Member said "Your fine where you are" and didn't have a problem with me moving up.

As soon as that countdown clock started I was so excited and then when I heard the intro I flipped out, I knew it was going to be a heck of a night! Since it was a smaller venue she was able to interact with the crowd more and she totally did to. I also loved her interactions with the band who were having an awesome time and running around the stage as well (Most of the time they stayed where they were but they did move) Now I loved every song equally and here's it went (Got the Set List from another review since I could only remember a few songs)

Flat On The Floor:
Energy! That's all I can say to describe this song as soon as she came up from the stage and was bouncing around and having a blast. She wore her black top, pants, sparkly belt and HUGE Steve Maddens, (She told us at one show that they were 6 inches) I still dunno how that girl can walk in those things, but she does and they look amazing on her, I know for a fact that I would fall (Pun Indented) "Flat On The Floor"

Wasted:
Awesome as always, she looked awesome and I am sure that everyone knew this one as well, and once again props to the band and Jeremy for rocking it, she still had the same outfit on as before and once again did a fantastic job.

Get Out Of This Town:
As soon as she got her guitar I knew that this was up next she was chatty as always and really enjoyed rocking out with Shawn on this to, who also did an amazing job as well, her band gets so into it all which really adds a lot to the performance itself. As always her vocals were awesome and I love her with the guitar she's such a natural at it and really knows how to rock out even if it isn't with Shawn.

The More Boys I Meet:
As I said above she went into the crowd and looking for her Price Charming and was scanning the venue for them, she said after a few minutes "Ladies your not doing a good job at nominating men" which was cute and you could really hear her accent as well and as she made her way to each side she would comment about each side and she finally came over to our side and said "OK there's more prince charming's on this side, nice to meet you all" and , she also got a bunch of flowers as well and was very sweet and interacted with the band and she made her way to each guy I noticed while she was with Mark she sang "Cause I'll Give Anyone A Shot Once" and you could see him jokingly mouthing "No you won't'" very cute, she also added her famous line "The More Boys I Meet The More I Love My Ace" I loved it!

Just A Dream :
Wow Wow Wow! As soon as the intro started I got super excited and I will say that this gets better and better each time I hear it (Even though I have only heard it twice) but still she pours her heart and soul into this and gave me chills, I was kinda close to the catwalk since I moved over and was able to get some good shots of her as well. She looked really angelic as well. Her vocals as always were spot on, and those high notes, man they were incredible, I am always in awe of her as always and she looks angelic as always, now I usually never cry but I am sue that one of these days.

Jesus Take The Wheel:
One of my favorites live and as always this was awesome, we didn't sing this time around but the band did back up and it wasn't a Capella, but it had very few instruments for the one chorus and it sounded stupendous and even though we didn't sing you could tell that everyone in the crowd was singing along with her, and they really enjoyed it and the dress again made her look like the Princess that she is. She also did her little hand motions which I had to do as well just because you cannot sing that song and want to do them. High notes awesome as always again amazing.

I Know You Won't:
As always I love the lighting and stormy effects that go along with this one it makes the song that much better and makes me love it that much more. She can really belt out those high notes like a true pro, and does a stupendous job. Last time I heard her sing this she was sick and it sounded great but because she wasn't sick this time around it sounded amazing, for the past few shows I had friends call me and let me listen to her sing it but hearing it then and there was awesome!

I Ain't In Checotah Anymore :
She was talking about missing Oklahoma and told us there there were more people in the venue than in her hometown and laughed (So cute) As soon as she started this song I knew it was gonna be amazing, but then again it's always an amazing song I loved her dress and her legs, STUNNING! However she didn't change the lyrics this time around and kept it to a single stoplight town, (They added one recently) which was cool and the montage in the background was really cute and showed downtown and pictures from around town, she strutted around that stage like the pro she was and really worked the crowd moving from side to side and getting us into it, and again the high notes were AMAZING! When the song was winding down and she started singing "No I Ain't In Checotah" she then said "But There's Nothing Like Pennsylvania" which we noticed was the first time she mentioned the state's name during that part of the song which was awesome!

Last Name:
She mentioned that this was going to be her next single LOVED It!! Her dance moves were adorable and she interacted with us as well she did her Elvis move ("Today I woke up thinking 'bout Elvis") and everyone was singing I love the way she moves her arms in this, she's always got a sassy attitude about her when she does songs like these but she is also having so much fun as well in a few of the shots I got it looks like she's surfing or about to take off and fly but it's adorable, again crowd loved it and was working that stage.

I Told You So: (Randy Travis Cover)
She started off talking about the Grand Ole Opry and how she was asked to become their next member, she als talked about Randy Travis coming out and asking her and she then jokingly said "I told him I'd get back to him" she laughed and said "No joking" I had never heard this live before and I cannot wait to hear it again it was so amazing everything about it blew me away, as always she put a lot of heart into this one and you could tell that she enjoyed singing it for us.

Crazy Dreams:
I was so happy that she was doing this live, she talked about how she did this at the Opry as well and sounded amazing a great song that I'm sue that everyone can relate to. The band sounded great as always and she was smiling a lot throughout the entire song and was very happy, and I also felt a real connection with this song as well and hearing her sing it to us made it really awesome.

Lessons Learned , That's Where It Is ,Young And Beautiful ,Some Hearts: (Medley)
She talked about how even though she had two CD's she still can't play everything from each CD or else they'd be there all night which was OK with her though (I wouldn't have minded either) and she said "These are a few of my favorites from the last CD" and then went into LL which was great and very powerful, then my favorite song TWII, which was amazing and even though it wasn't the whole song it still sounded awesome and plus it was a medley so she couldn't do the who song. "How many of you are feeling Young And Beautiful Tonight? she asked before launching into a great rendition of what else YAB then she went into SH and hit the high note perfectly. So glad to see that she brought back some of these the audience really enjoyed them.

Don't Forget To Remember Me:
She talked about being on the road and how her and the crew miss their families but she is always happy to sing this song because it reminds her of her family, the acoustics were great as always and Mark did a really nice job playing the guitar with her as well. Again she put emotion into it and showed us that she doesn't forget where she grew up.

Twisted:
My favorite song on the CD by far (Even though there all amazing)this time it was even more amazing, also this song has meaning to me now since I had a really great experience during this song in Atlantic City as well so it made me smile and my friend Nicole was so excited to hear it when I called her and the lighting effects were great and her vocals sounded great, again her hand motions are adorable, I love the laser effects as well they add a really cool touch to it.

All American Girl:
As always dedicated this to the All American Girls in the crowd by saying "Are there any All American Girls in the crowd tonight?" we all screamed and she said "This is for you then" again working the stage and the high note was awesome, I have loved this song since the CD came out and this is only the second time I have heard it live and lemme tell ya to hear that high note being sung was fantasic (She spoke it the last time around cause she was sick) but I love how they show the video clips on the screens as well it adds something cool to it and shows her many different sides.

So Small:
Once again another AMAZING rendition of this song she really knows how to belt this one out again only the second time I have heard it live but it was just as amazing as the last time, no curtains just her and the stage and the crowd once again loved it, such a powerful song that I am sure has touched many. When she sings this you can tell that she means every single word of it, it's truly a deep and wonderful song. There had to be a few people in that crowd who were touched I know I was. After it was over she continued to sing and added a few little "yeah's" to the end of it, and waved as she disappeared under the stage and as people left I thought "Oh they don't know what there missing"

Nov.Rain & Paradise City: [Guns and Roses Covers]

Carrie during November Rain:
Carrie during Paradise CityShe rose back up from under the stage and the crowd loved it she had her famous shiny silver jacket on as well. Before going into anything she said that she was going to sing "a few of her favorites" before she went into November Rain which was stupendous I still have it stuck in my head, again like the ballads she puts her heart and soul into it and really belted out, The boys if Guns N' Roses would be proud I am sure, also I'm glad she added this to the tour because the crowd really loves it. Afterwards the band starts rocking out to Paradise City and man she totally got into it and was getting us to clap our hands and rock out with her, being by the catwalk while she was doing this it was so cool and I can tell that she really loves doing these songs and the fact that we as a crowd embrace that and really rock out with her is very very cool. She totally showed a different side by rocking out and for those who were seeing her for the first time ever (I talked to a few people as well) I am sure they really enjoyed her!

Before He Cheats:
Sadly the end but indeed one amazing note to go out on, the crowd went wild when she started singing, she worked the stage and then let us sing as well and again she sounded fabulous and I think that we sounded really good as well. By the end of this I was at the catwalk and I kept on moving up until I was at the barricade and she kept on moving and singing and getting us into it, and at the end of the song after the confetti came out she went onto the main stage and walked across it and I was trying to get her attention the whole night so after a few failed attempts I thought this would be the moment I got her to wave so when she was getting closer to me I started waving and sure enough microphone to her mouth still she saw me and waved it totally made my night that much better! Sadly at this point it was all over and she thanked us for coming out to see her and went backstage.

I couldn't have asked for a better night, the crowd was really into her, she really enjoyed us and the wave just made my night. So once another wonderful night and another fantastic show from Miss. Underwood. Cannot wait to see her when the Deleware State Fair Rolls around (And is confirmed) for the 21st!

Some of the other Fan Club Members who attended the show as well, I'm the one with the white bag.

I'll Stand In The Middle

I realized something today, when you go to a regular sporting event like a Major League one you usually cheer for the team that you like the most or if that teams from your hometown, makes sense yeah? Well today I was at my cousin's baseball game, at my school so I was sitting there on the opposing teams side and and quietly cheering on my team, it was interesting to say the least, I mean I want to cheer for both of them (My cousin on one my school on the other) again makes sense right? but it's hard to, I'm not sure have noticed how critical some parent's get if your cheering for two teams at once, sure I was rooting for my school and yeah I wanted them to win to, I hate making choices like that and I wasn't going to move over either, luckily no body on the side of the field I was on heard on (Well except my aunt who kept on telling me to be careful about who I cheered for) We didn't stay for the whole game and as we were leaving my team was winning, however as I left I said to my aunt "Next time I come to a game I'm going to stand in the middle and I'll root for both teams that way"
